How to read large blockchain transfers and exchange flows
A large transfer shows a movement between addresses. Its owner and purpose require separate evidence.
Read the label confidence
An exchange's published proof-of-reserves address, a community label and an inferred deposit address are different levels of evidence. Fiatasset displays these levels separately.
An exchange inflow does not prove a sale
A transfer may be internal treasury management, custody, collateral or a deposit for trading. The blockchain transfer alone cannot establish which explanation is correct.
Check network coverage and timestamps
A partial set of chains or addresses cannot describe the whole market. Pending transactions may not be confirmed. Compare timestamps and inspect the original transaction before drawing a conclusion.
